Another event the Club has organized and one that has grown in popularity is the GPS/ATV Ride, annually held in the Wap Lake area. A very large area stretching from the gravel pit just off the TransCanada highway west of 3 Valley to Mable Lake. Within this area are numerous GPS points, the object is to buy a ‘poker hand’ that gives you the coordinates of plaques and you have to go and find the plaque. It teaches you to use and trust your GPS, shows you some fantastic country and gets you out with others. Three Valley Al was the driving force behind this event and it continues to be a passion of his.
