Mount Hall Coursier Lake Circle Tour

Difficulty Description:

This is a moderately difficult ride.  The connector between Mount Hall Rd. and Coursier Lake Rd is the section that increases difficulty.  This section is a narrow tight trail.  Some would give the difficulty a rating of 4.

Trail Description:

Length of round trip 47 km.   Go up the Dry Creek Cut-off Rd for 6.4 km, [N50°41.764 W118°01.590] turn right (north) onto Mt. Hall Rd. to the north end of the mtn. Locate rough trail, marked by small pile of rocks on right hand side of road, [N50°44.23 W118°04.85] proceed down the west side of Mt. Hall to Coursier Lake [N50°42.84 W118°06.42].  Return left (south) along Dry Creek Rd. to 12 km, [N50°40.890W118°01.320], keep left onto Mt. Hall Rd. for 1.8 km, [N50°41.764 W118°01.590], turn right down Dry Creek Cut-off Rd & back to Hwy 23 S. & the unloading point.

Alternative starting point for this circle tour is the Jct of Highway 23 and the Shelter Bay Rd.  From the Shelter Bay rd, proceed to the Dry Creek Rd staying on the Dry Creek Rd to the jct with the Mt Hall Rd (fifth switchback) at this jct turn right and follow the Mt Hall Rd to the north end of the mtn.  Locate rough trail, marked by small pile of rocks on right hand side of road, [N50°44.23 W118°04.85] proceed down the west side of Mt. Hall to Coursier Lake [N50°42.84 W118°06.42].  Return left (south) along Dry Creek Rd. to the jct of Dry Creek Rd and the Killeen connector.  Take the Killen Connector to the Killeen Rd., turn left onto the Killeen Rd staying on the Killeen Rd to the Longworth Rd, staying on the Longworth Rd back to the Dry Creek Rd.  Returning on the Dry Creek Rd to the jct with the Shelter Bay Road and back to the starting point,

then Longworth Rd to Killeen Rd.  Take the Killeen Rd to the Killeen / Dry Creek Connector, turn right onto the connector

There are numerous spots along the way that give great vistas of Arrow Lake / Beaton Arm or Coursier Lake / Pingston Creek.
