A small group of 6 riders left Shelter Bay for a ride south along the West side of Arrow Lake. We were unsure of how far we would get with the recent flooding / washouts / snow pack.
From Shelter Bay we made a brief stop at Eagle Bay campground and visited with a group of riders that were camped for the weekend. From there to the Fosthall log dump with great views up and down the Arrow lake, then on to Cameron Lake again visiting with riders from Nelson that have been at the lake for the past week. We then headed for Arrow Park via the Cameron Lake Road, Low Pass Road and Blackie Rogers Roads. From Arrow park we headed north along the East Mosquito Road which had recently been rebuilt for harvesting purposes to the Cameron Lake Road Jct and onto the West Mosquito Road and back to Shelter Bay.
Along the way we saw a deer, 3 bear – one that came out of the bush, ran along side one of the riders for a few feet (could have given it a pet on the back) a large gorgeous Eagle that was checking us out for supper, and a yearling moose.
We did not encounter any washouts or plugged culverts. The worst / poorest road conditions were from the Shelter Bay Log Dump to the Pingston Creek bridge. For the day we did almost 190 Km
