Trail: Griffin / Caribou Circle tour
Difficulty Description: Trail difficulty and complexity increases dramatically from the junction at N50 54.609 W118 43.093 through the climb to the alpine. This section has steeper grades and rock climbs with some minor off camber sections. The trail across the alpine is a gentle ride with excellent alpine views. From about N50 55.518 W118 38.432 the trail is a steep narrow rocky descent with tight switchbacks and narrow off camber sections. When you reach the junction at N50 53.864 W118 36.236 you can either go to Caribou Lake Provincial Park (equipped with couple of picnic tables and an outhouse) or continue the circle route. The next major junction to watch for is at N50 53.576 W118 43.006 as this is the turn off to head back to the start of the ride.

Trail Description: This ride is a circle tour departing from the end of the pavement on the Sedeberg Road and proceeding up the Griffin FSR. At N50 55.794 W118 43.582 take the older road to the right. The ride from this point on until the junction with the road to Caribou Lake is on old logging roads and what appears to be purpose built trails. While in the alpine areas watch for Cattle grazing and do your best to not disturb them.
Points of Interest: alpine vistas, caribou provincial park, areas of recent harvesting provide excellent valley views.
